The firewall configuration needs to be revised to allow inbound and outbound requests between EdgeReady Plugin and EdgeReady platform.
The EdgeReady platform communicates to the EdgeReady Plugin using specific IP addresses.
Customers hosting EdgeReady Plugin inside their firewall need to white list these IP addresses so that EdgeReady Plugin and the EdgeReady platform can communicate with each other.
The EdgeReady Plugin is designed to listen on a particular port that can be redirected to any other port as per the customer’s preferences. Pillir would prefer and recommend a SSL connection and would need a SSL certificate from the customer.
At the end of this exercise, the customer needs to provide a DNS with a port# where the EdgeReady Plugin is hosted and can be used for communicating with the EdgeReady platform. Every firewall configuration and security policies are different,(Please work with your Pillir Customer Enablement Manager for the EdgeReady Plugin installation and setup procedures).
