Deploy EdgeReady Plugin.SCA file using JSPM

The following procedure explains how to deploy the EdgeReady Plugin software component in SAP NetWeaver(for versions below 7.4) using Java Support Package Manager (JSPM):

1. Login to the operating system as a <SID> adm user.
2. Upload the Plugin file <edgereadyPlugin.SCA> file to the global EPS inbox directory: /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.
   
3. Run the go.bat file to start JSPM.
4. Enter your user name and password for SDM, and login to JSPM.
5. In the Java Support Package Manager(JSPM), in Select Package Type section, select the New Software Components option.
6. Click Next to continue. The Specify Queue wizard displaying the EdgeReady Plugin software component appears.
7. Click Next to continue.The Check Queue wizard opens. In this stage, JSPM checks the deployment queue, and displays the status of the EdgeReady Plugin component.

The status can be: OK, WARNING, or REVISE.
In case of WARNING, you will be allowed to proceed with deployment. If required, you can go back, and change the content in the global EPS directory.
In case of REVISE, you will not be allowed to proceed further with the deployment, and you must go back and change the content in the EPS directory.

8. Click Start to start the deployment process. The Deploy Queue wizard showing the progress level of EdgeReady Plugin deployment opens. The initial status is displayed as SCHEDULED.After the deployment is complete, the Completed wizard displaying the status of the deployment opens.

10.  Click Exit after the successful completion of EdgeReady Plugin deployment.
