Deploy EdgeReady Plugin (.SCA file) using SAP Software Update Manager(SUM)

The following procedure is used to deploy an EdgeReady Plugin for SAP Netweaver v7.4 onward:

  1. Open the command prompt with run as administrator.
  2. Type the command D:\usr\sap\AF2\SUM to go to the SUM directory.
  3. Run the STARTUP.BAT confighostagent jvm6 file.edgeready-plugin---netweaver-integration-1-image-v35i2fom
  4. Copy the JAVA Sum URL from the prompt. Eg:http://sealinno4:1128/lmsl/sumjava/AF2/index.html
Note
For https use port 1129 and for http use port 1128
  1. Open the Browser.
  2. Enter the Windows Security Credentials and click OK.
  3. In the Process Execution screen, click Next.edgeready-plugin---netweaver-integration-1-image-uzlln4tp
  4. Enter the User credentials and click Next.edgeready-plugin---netweaver-integration-1-image-cyoagq6m
  5. Select the Manually Prepared Directory radio button, and enter the directory path in which the SCA files are stored. Click Next.
  6. Enter the Administrator credentials of SAP Netweaver and click Next.
  7. The next screen displays the Components with the Current and Target Version. Select the Continue radio button.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select ‘Continue’ and click Next.
  10. The system parameters are displayed in the screen below. Click Next.
  11. The progress of the Update is shown in the screen below. Click Next to begin the update.
  12. Click Next once the update is complete.
  13. A screen will appear that shows the summary and evaluation of the update process. Click Next.
  14. It opens the Evaluation Form screen as shown below.
  15. Click Close. A process execution screen appears. Click Finish.
  16. Click Confirm to complete the update process.
