EdgeReady Platform - Default Roles

The EdgeReady platform comprises of the following predefined or default roles that provide access to specific features in the platform:

• Business Analyst
• Developer
• Workflow Manager
• Integration Manager
• Tenant Admin
• End-User

These roles cannot be modified by the admin. It is indicated by the absence of Permissions option in the ellipsis menu of the role.

Business Analyst

A business analyst performs requirements gathering, solution design, testing, validations and change management. 

In the EdgeReady platform you can assign a 'Business Analyst' role for users who need to work on the process flow and UI design.

The following table lists the features and permissions for a Business analyst role.

Developer

A developer builds the application(object structure) based on the software design document. 

In the Edgeready platform, you can assign a 'Developer' role for users to build apps. This role can access only the development-related components within the platform.

Workflow Manager

A workflow manager manages business functions with a workflow. 

In the EdgeReady platform you can assign a 'Workflow Manager' role for users who will manage all work items in different states in a workflow. If there is any error in the workflow events, the workflow manager can perform the corrective action.

Integration Manager

An Integration manager reviews the application architecture, the app designs, DB tables, and the BOS(Business Object Service).

In the EdgeReady platform you can assign an 'Integration Manager' role for users to perform job scheduling, setup authentication mechanisms, and manage third-party integrations.

Tenant Admin

A Tenant admin is responsible for managing the entire platform. A Tenant admin has access to all functionalities within the platform.

End User 

End users typically have access only to the apps built and deployed by the EdgeReady platform developer.

In the EdgeReady platform, the end user can log in to the platform but only have access to the dashboard.
